

The PromiseHe had done it to her again. He had promised her that she would finally go home, go to a safe place, but he was no-where to be seen. He had betrayed her trust, left her stranded once again. She stood there, tears staining her face. The wind whipped around her. She was shivering in the wintery weather. It was Christmas Eve. She looked up. Snowflakes gently made their way to the ground. One landed on her nose. She shook it away, too upset to enjoy the snow. A small cry escaped her lips. It was so dark outside, she felt as though she was drowning in a black ocean. She was so small. Why hadnt he come to take her home? Why? She slowly strollThe Promise


The ChippyWhat a smell! It smelt like heaven! Following the trail of scent, it led me to the fish and chip store. What a busy place it was. It was so crowded I couldnt even see the floor. People were going in empty and coming out with a tray piled high with the most golden and fattest chips I had ever seen. The scent lingered in the air long after they had left. All I could do was sit on the wall a few yards away, waiting hoping. I had no money, I mean, I dont even work, how can I? A loud bellowing laughter escapes from a drunken man.
